Outreaches

Founded by Nena Interval, who lost her husband to cancer, New Beginnings is an outreach group which provides love and support to women who are on this same journey.  The group will offer different outings, events, and opportunities for these women to relationship build and fulfill the calling in their own lives to continue heal, grow and to serve the Lord.

New Beginnings

Neighbor to Neighbor volunteers meet at various local laundry mat locations in Washington and Canonsburg to provide quarters, detergents, bleach, to those doing their laundry as well as physically assist people with the washing, folding, and carrying of their clothes while also offering fellowship, prayer and ministry.

Loads of Love

N2N annually locally distributes approximately 400 new back packs to needy and underprivileged children.  These back packs are either pre-filled with annual school supplies, or we set out the supplies and kids/parents can come through and select the items they want or need. There is a big opportunity based on new Volunteer involvement to expand this event to more facilities and locations!

Back to School

Led by Sister Cheri Anderson, The Never Alone Prison Ministry, in conjunction with other local ministries and non profits, offers support and Christian discipleship to the women, children and families of those who are currently incarcerated as well as those who are now transitioning back to a productive and stable life.

Never Alone

N2N annually provides numerous onsite, community based Easter Egg Hunts in and around Washington County once a year.  The Egg Hunts include age specific events for kids up to 12 years old with each child receiving sealed candy in the eggs as their own Easter Basket of candy, and a DVD or Activity Book highlighting the True Meaning of Easter. A story of the resurrection is presented before the Easter Egg Hunt.

N2N annually provides a local Christmas Event in downtown Washington for anyone who has a need. Historically we have used the Harmony Life Center Café to provide free hot chocolate, hot sandwiches, and cookies. There are also racks of coats, hats, gloves, socks, t-shirts and underwear in packs. We have also had the attendance of Christmas Carolers as well as women in our Area Avis Arbor facilities and those in our city’s ¾ and halfway houses.

Christmas Event

Neighbor 2 Neighbor meets twice monthly to serve our low-income, homeless, and divine appointments in the Washington and Canonsburg areas.  We meet, divide up and distribute 120 meals, clothing, toiletries, blankets, and supplies.

Under the Bridge

N2N annually provides hundreds of brand new coats to children in need, allowing each child to pick out their own coat! The coats distributed at 8 unique locations in and around Washington County and are currently purchased through Walmart and also provided through generous donations. Food, drinks and fellowship are also provided for all who attend.
